TENDER NURSING CARE – 

VACANCY FOR REGISTERED MANAGER (PART TIME

Tender Nursing Care (TNC) is a small local charity providing free overnight care to clients with life limiting conditions in their own homes in the South Ribble, Chorley and Preston areas.  The Charity wishes to appoint a Registered Manager to work an average 20 hours per week. Hours may be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the Charity and the jobholder. 

The Registered Manager will be responsible for the operational management of the Charity’s services – duties will include:

  • advice and support to the Trustees on the development of the charity 
  • advice, support and maintenance of compliance with the external regulatory frameworks applying in the care sector.
  • responsibility for referrals and liaison with medical and other health professionals
  • assessment of clients’ needs and the development of appropriate care plans.
  • development, review and compliance of care and management policies
  • recruitment, selection and management of nursing and care staff
  • preparation of management reports for the trustees and external authorities
  • support the preparation and management of budgets and financial reports
  • operational financial administration  

Applicants would ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • significant relevant nursing/healthcare and management experience 
  • knowledge and experience of the legislation and regulatory frameworks applying in the care sector. 
  • the ability to develop, maintain and apply a wide range of care-related and management policies.
  • IT literacy and in particular the use of MS Office applications.  

Applications would also be welcome from an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys supervising the delivery of person-centred care and managing a small and stable team of professional healthcare staff.

A competitive salary will be offered to reflect the experience of the successful applicant. Working hours will be flexible to accommodate the needs of TNC’s clients and staff, and the job holder’s preferences. 

TNC’s Registered Office is at the Ryan Medical Centre in Bamber Bridge where the Registered Manager maintains the Charity’s administration. But the jobholder will be essentially field/home-based and will be expected to use their own vehicle and claim mileage allowance for travel on TNC business. 

The job holder will also have use of a mobile phone and laptop computer provided by TNC. S/he will be expected to be available on-call to TNC staff during their working hours although such calls are rare..
